The Longest Day is an annual fundraiser to support Alzheimer’s efforts in research, education, care and support for victims, family and friends who have this debilitating disease. Alpha Delta Kappa International has adopted Alzheimer’s Association as one of its International projects. The Longest Day is June 20, 2024. Here is how you can help:
- You and/or your chapter can set a goal to raise $300 or more and join our “California Cares” team to fundraise. Let your chapter members, friends, and family know that you are fundraising for Alzheimer’s and how they can donate to support your efforts.
- Go to https://alz.org/adk
- Choose Find a Participant
- Type in California Cares. You will be taken to the Team Page of “California Cares”.
- Choose either Join our Team or Donate. If a chapter is joining the team, type your team as “CA (chapter name) and the chapter president’s last name.
Members and friends are encouraged to participate in fundraising by doing something FUN to raise money. Game days are great; you can invite people who are not members of Alpha Delta Kappa to join you for an afternoon of fun. How about a garage sale, gently used jewelry auction, dinner out at contributing restaurants or a pottery party. There are many fundtraising event ideas on the Association’s website, including virtual ideas.
Donations can be made anytime from January through the end of July.
